point3D announces strategic merger to expand Services and Technology offerings
point3D announces the strategic reorganization of its Laser Scanning businesses under the new corporate entity, point3D, Inc. Effective January 1, 2022, point3D LLC, a Limited Liability Company incorporated in New Jersey, will merge its operations into point3D Inc., a Close Corporation organized in Maryland. The move is part of the company’s critical growth plan to expand point3D Services and point3D Technology.
2022 also welcomes Jean Lawes as point3D’s new Chief Executive Officer and President. Jean, who participated in the original creation of point3D and continued in an advisory role, will now be a majority owner and company leader. Jean’s first task will be the certification of point3D in SBA and individual state Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) contracting programs. Gregory Lawes will assume the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Technology Officer positions. Additional management personnel includes Ross Semplice, Director of Sales and Marketing, and Julie Schmitt, Support Manager.
point3D will continue to provide best-in-class laser scanning technology, consulting, training, and professional services in partnership with our Qualified Service Partner (QSP) program. The program combines the resources and expertise of leading laser scanning providers with point3D’s technical resources delivering a single source for exceptional laser scanning and industrial survey services.
